Boothby GrafFoe, comedy and music
Friday 21 October, 8pm
Comedian-musician Boothby Graffoe has performed all over the world and is perhaps best known as being the first choice support act for Canadian Hall of Fame rockers Barenaked Ladies, as well as for British-Iranian comedian Omid Djalili.
From humble beginnings in the pubs and clubs of Nottingham, Boothby has gone on to become a mainstay of the British comedy circuit, renowned for his surrealist sense of humour and excellent musicianship.
He previously presented two of his own shows on BBC Radio Four – The Big Booth and Boothby Graffoe In No Particular Order – and has written three stage plays, all of which were adapted for BBC radio.
“More musical than most musicians & funnier than most comedians.” Stewart Lee
“The greatest songwriter in this world or any other.” Richard Thompson
“These are not just funny songs, they are too musically beautiful to be considered comedy alone. There are some I would dare to call genius.” The Guardian
“Watching this guy is pretty much the perfect way to spend an evening.” The New York Times
A very entertaining evening of comedy and music awaits!
